Parish Pastoral Council
A parish pastoral council is a
consultative body formed to promote the spiritual growth of the parish
community and to plan ways for the parish to carry out the mission of
the Church - the priestly, prophetic, royal mission of Jesus.
It also
serves as a means of communication among the various groups in the
parish.
Its members include the Parish Staff, At-Large Representatives, a
representative from each of the Parish Commissions - Education,
Evangelization, Worship, Peace and Justice, Spiritual Life, and Youth -
and a liaison from theParish Finance Council.
The council meets
regularly to recommend parish policy regarding pastoral needs and goals
of the parish.
Parish Finance Council
This Council meets regularly to aid the
pastor in areas of financial planning, budgeting, legal issues,
technical matters and offering other advice in the administration of
parish goods.
Members are appointed by the pastor according to their
expertise. One member is appointed as the liaison to the Parish Pastoral
Council.
