Holy
Name Society
A spiritual organization of men
whose primary purpose is to promote love, honor and respect for the Most
Holy Name of Jesus.
Members sell Father's Day cards to remember living
and deceased fathers, and assist with the annual Anointing Mass.
St.
Richard Ladies
Guild
Meets the first Thursday
of each month at 7 P.M. (except July and August). Their purpose is to
encourage a friendly spirit among the women of the parish and to
strengthen the religious bonds among its members. Ladies 18 and older
are welcome.
Faith-Full
Friends
Meets the third Tuesday of every
month (except July and August) for a luncheon and speaker, and is open
to men and women 50 years and older. This active group also has special
programs such as dinner and theater evenings as well as day and
overnight bus trips.

Ministry
of Fun
Plans special events for adults of
all ages. Events include an evening out for Italian cuisine, a St.
Patrick's Day celebration, an evening of card playing, and taking in a
baseball game.

Ministry
of Care
These men and women visit the
homebound, nursing homes and hospitals. The Bereavement Committee helps
families plan the liturgy for the funeral, serves as greeters at the
funeral mass and serves at the funeral luncheon when it is held in the
parish's Lenahan Room.

Social
Action Committee
Issues related to the care of the poor, justice, peace, and respect for
life are deeply rooted in the gospel message and in the Catholic
tradition. This organization organizes programs such as the Advent
Giving Tree, Adopt-a-Family, Walk the Walk during Lent, and
Christmas in July for Birthright.

The
Saint Vincent
De Paul
Society
The St. Richard
Conference of the St. Vincent De Paul Society provides confidential
assistance for individuals and families who are struggling to meet basic
needs.
The conference operates a food pantry to assist with its mission.
Among its activities are the annual School Supply drive, the
diocesan-wide Blanket Sunday, and the Thanksgiving food drive. Members
also provide food and service at the St. Patrick Hunger Center on Bridge
Avenue six times each year.

Socials
These times of fellowship are held
after the masses on the third Sunday of the month in the school gym. A
parish organization sponsors each social.
